What Is “electric Hook-up” In French?

For a caravan at a caravan site in France. Need to book it over the phone in French and don't know what to ask for. Also, is an awning "au vent" ?

  1. oi froggy hook me up to the mains dude

  2. Prise electrique, and yes, awning is ‘auvent’. P.S. Go to and type ‘campings en (e.g.) Bretagne’ for lists of sites bookable on line – often with option of English version of web pages.

  3. “Un point d’attache électrique”
“J’aurais besoin d’un point d’attache électrique pour notre caravane”.
You could also use “Une prise de courant” but strictly speaking that is an electric plug, whilst an electric socket is “une prise de courant femelle”.
    “Un auvent” in one word.
