Anyone tell me where Im going wrong when I put the awning on my folding camper? Every time we put it up although the canvas is tight to the poles it sags in the wet and holds water, it also seems to be to high and does'nt run of like caravan awnings do any help!!

Mine has about an 8″ pitch-Making the front lower than where it attachs to the camper. You seem to be on the right track. Mention being to high. Resulting in “ponding”. Perhaps the wrong poles?
honestly it just sounds like it was engineered poorly. The materila most likely stretches and allows for it to sag and hold water and the angle should be steeper by the sound of it.
Canvas loosens up when its wet. That causes the sag. I guess the pitch (angle) of the canvas isn’t enough to allow the water to run off. It’s a design flaw. Unfortunately I don’t have any suggestions other than to get a different awning.
