Bought A New Caravan, So Where Would Be The Best Place To Take It This Weekend In This Weather?
My partner's mum and dad have just bought a new 2 berth caravan and awning, and have an extra annex for the awning to that me and my partner can sleep in it, for the odd occasion that we go with them. Where would you recommend going for the first time (in the UK, preferably in yorkshire)that has lots to do and has places to walk with a dog?

the lake district is supposed to be nice.
Wales, it’s great. but try north wales from yorkshire, as the roads are better than mid wales.
once you get past colwyn bay, please not that you are in the heart of welsh nationalist country, and they are nice people but want to live a welsh way of life, as long as you bask in there way o life as you would if in europe, then you’ll have a brilliant time…
Wales is not that far from Yorkshire has some stunning scenery nice beaches and is not over commercialised. Only problem is it’s full of wesh people.

No No!! DEVONDEVONDEVON!!
Southwest is the best!!!
Totally agree with ‘myownprivateloads’ – stay local for your first trip, give it a try, see what you need & try not to pack too much. Also, make sure you update your insurance, if you are taking it out.
There must be some local campsites you can try. It’s a great way to discover what’s on your doorstep – I had to give up foreign hols a few years ago, and we’ve had great times camping locally.
Oh you definitely do not want to go to East Yorkshire, we have nothing at all here for caravan people, especially caravan people who drive well below the speed limit and cause all sorts of problems on the roads. Try Lancashire, they love caravaners there!!
Too many muppets answering questions her. Take some advice from a caravanner.
For a first trip out, stay near home. It may not be too exciting but you’ll need time to get used to how everything worksin the caravan. It also means you can get home quickly if it all goes wrong. There are some good sites around York that are worth a visit. These will be busier at this time of year so there’ll be others to help out and shops within reach to get supplies. You will forget things!
Hope the weather holds out for you. Good luck.
Oh no not another bloody caravan on the road, don’t you have any consideration for other road users?
park it up and catch a plane somewhere. nice and warm
I agree with Bumble bee. Hampshire is crap for caravans too. Go to Blackpool.
The new Forest or the Forest of Dean
