Pyramid Tuscany Awning
I have just returned home after a fortnight away in the caravan after trying my new awning out for size. My awning is a new Tuscany awning by Pyramid awnings and I’m pleased to report it made it back with us. Pyramid awnings seem to have a great range of awnings which really appeal to the keen caravan goer like me. Whilst away I was speaking to people who also had Pyramid awnings and in particular the Tuscany range, we all got the impression that the Pyramid Tuscany range really takes into account the important factors that campers face on trips away. One element that we all thought was excellent was the quick lock system attached to every pole, it made it so easy in erecting the awning and virtually gave you a free hand instead of complaining that I didn’t have enough. They also have a great pegging down system both inside and out using rubber ladders and awning pegs, along with a brilliant tie down kit with sewn in buckles for a secure guying down. With all these pegging systems it did take a while to get the awning completely secure but once it was done it wasn’t going anywhere. The wind got up for a couple of hours on the Wednesday and didn’t even shake the awning; it was whistling around the campsite but didn’t make any problems. It’s worth putting the extra effort in guying the awning down tight, as the all the buckles, pegs etc work brilliantly in keeping the awnings shape and structure and even after the fortnight it still held its shape like it was day one despite the insisting breeze.
Overall the Pyramid Tuscany Awnings is an awning which delivers on functionality and I was surprised to see so many people sporting the same awning. The special features are not simply gimmicks and quirky ideas, but sensible and practical systems which Pyramid have introduced to great affect. Erecting awnings can be a pain at the best of time, but the Tuscany has little features that make it that little bit easier.
Easier the better in my book!

Bought a Pyramid awning last year and we have had nothing but trouble with it since day one. The zips are of inferior quality and it is true what they say in what you get what you pay for!. On our first venture with the awning the zip broke and I called the dealer (not Pyramid I might add) and they were not in the least bit bothered even though the happened prior to the awning ever being errected. This lead to us having to either scrap a ‘new’ awning or carry out a repair ourself. The actual design is flimsy and the process of the awning rails being into the fitting and feeding along the inner rail against the caravan is clumsy and we ended up scratching the paintwork. I would not recommend these awnings at all. Pyramid sell some great products but these are not one in my eyes. If you are set on an awning from pyramid then go for the most costlier versions as it will be money well spent.
